MADRID (ACB) - Uruguay big man Esteban Batista has left Baloncesto Fuenlabrada for Caja Laboral.

A former player in the NBA and with Maccabi Tel Aviv, Batista fortifies a frontline that will play in the Top 16 of the Euroleague.

"I have only words of thanks for Fuenlabrada and all its fans,” he said.

“This is a club where one works very comfortably and where I had the opportunity to fully enjoy basketball again.

“Now I’m opening a new stage in my career, but I will always have the best memories and best wishes for Fuenlabrada.”

Batista, in his last game for Fuenlabrada at the weekend, had 12 points and six rebounds in an 88-79 victory at Menorca Basquet.

The result has left the Madrid outfit fourth in the ACB with nine wins and five defeats.
