ZGORZELEC (ULEB Cup) - PGE Turow did not just enough to progress to the final eight of the ULEB Cup after clinching a two-legged victory over BC Kyiv in Poland on Tuesday night.
Pooh Jeter poured in 19 points to lead Kyiv to a 67-58 win on the night, but Turow’s 12-point triumph in Ukraine last week gave them a three-point win on aggregate.
“Everyone wondered where the team came from at the beginning of the season but we’ve got some respect now," said Thomas Kelati, who had 22 points in the first leg and 13 on Tuesday for Turow .
Joining Turow in the final eight were Dynamo Moscow, who completed a two-game sweep of Lukoil Academic with a 103-77 mauling in Russia.
Bosnia-Herzegovina international Henry Domercant led the winners with 25 points.
BJK Cola Turka got 24 points apiece each from Puerto Rico international Rick Apodaca and Preston Shumpert in an 81-69 success against Red Star Belgrade.
