Centrobasket U17 Championships Draws set for Wednesday

SAN JUAN (Puerto Rico) – The International Basketball Federation of the Americas (FIBA Americas) announced today that the Official Draws of the Centrobasket U17 Championship and the Centrobasket U17 Women’s Championship will take place on May 1.
The ceremonies will be held at the Casa Olimpica of Puerto Rico in San Juan.
The Centrobasket U17 Championship 2019 will be played July 24-28 in San Juan, Puerto Rico and will feature the National Teams of Bahamas, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Virgin Islands and host Puerto Rico.
The pairs for the Centrobasket U17 Championship 2019 Official Draw are:
1. Mexico – Virgin Islands
2. Bahamas - Panama
3. El Salvador - Jamaica
4. Puerto Rico – Dominican Republic
The Centrobasket U17 Women’s Championship 2019 will be played July 7-11 in San Juan, Puerto Rico and will feature the National Teams of Bahamas, Barbados, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico and host Puerto Rico.
The pairs for the Centrobasket U17 Women’s Championship 2019 Official Draw are:
1. Guatemala – Dominican Republic
2. Costa Rica – El Salvador
3. Bahamas - Barbados
4. Puerto Rico - Mexico
The top three teams from the championships will qualify to the FIBA U18 Americas Championships 2020.
