HERAKLION (2015 FIBA U19 World Championship) - Turkey survived a scare from Iran to advance to the Quarter-Finals of the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship with a 73-63 victory in the Round of 16. Turkey, who had four players score in double figures, will take on the winner between Australia and Serbia in the Quarters. Iran will face the loser of that game in the Classification 9-16 round.

Turning Point: Iran cut a 10-point fourth quarter deficit down to 66-62 with a minute to play when Yigit Arslan nailed back-to-back three-pointers to hand Turkey the win.

Stats Don't Lie: Turkey won the battle of the boards with 42 rebounds to 34 for Iran, including 18 offensive rebounds compared to seven for Iran. Turkey also received 41 points off their bench with Iran getting just four.

Game Hero: Okben Ulubay paced Turkey with 16 points to go with three rebounds, two steals and an assist.

The Bottom Line: Turkey have yet to lose at the U19 Worlds in Greece and could see a re-match of the 2014 FIBA U18 European Championship Final, which they won over Serbia. Iran will now look to at least match their best ever showing at the competition - 11th place in 2013
