KAUNAS (2015 U16 European Championship) - Turkey bounced back from their first defeat of the competition to inflict a second straight loss on hosts Lithuania at the U16 European Championship in Kaunas on Wednesday.

Turkey stuttered down the stretch against Spain on Tuesday, but had no such problems against Lithuania as Eray Akyuz came up with a crucial score to put his team in front with 15 seconds remaining, before they prevailed 67-64.

Both teams had already secured their place in the Last Eight but seeding was at stake and as a result the hosts finished fourth in Group E and will face Group F winners Finland on Friday while Turkey will play Serbia.

Spain wrapped up top spot in Group E with a 75-64 success against England.

The English recovered from a poor start to pull within striking distance in the fourth quarter, but Sergi Martinez was the Spanish inspiration once again as he dominated inside on his way to 18 points and 8 rebounds.

Germany employed similar tactics to overpower Greece 77-59 in the group's other game to seal a third-place finish.

In Group F, Serbia closed on an 18-2 tear to come from behind and beat Montenegro 78-64 as Andrija Marjanovic scored 30 points.

That victory secured the Serbs' spot in the Quarter-Finals, despite losing both of their first two games, and eliminated Montenegro.

France jumped out to a 16-4 start before cruising to a 57-38 rout of Finland to confirm a Quarter-Final clash with rivals Spain.

And Bosnia and Herzegovina came up with a big performance when they needed it to thrash Croatia 86-59 and set-up a Last Eight tie with Germany, thanks in no small part to 21 points, 6 assists and 3 steals from Sani Campara.

Italy topped Classification Round Group G with a 58-49 defeat of Latvia behind 17 points and 7 rebounds from Gabriele Stefanini.
