LOS ANGELES (2010 FIBA World Championship) - Team USA's Kobe Bryant turned in the performance of the night in the NBA play-offs with a 39-point scoring explosion against Oklahoma City as the Los Angeles Lakers won 95-92 on Tuesday.

Bryant did a lot of his damage at the free-throw line, making 13 of 15, as number one seed LA claimed a 2-0 lead in the NBA's Western Conference play-off series.

What makes the superstar's performance all the more impressive is that he has a broken finger and is also dealing with an ailing knee and gimpy ankle.

Pau Gasol, Spain's 2006 FIBA World Championship MVP, added 25 points and 12 rebounds for the Lakers.

Kevin Durant is looking to play for the United States this summer in Turkey.

He had 32 points, eight rebounds and four blocks for the Thunder.

"Our effort was phenomenal, how hard we played on the defensive end," Durant said.

"A lot of people didn't even think we could play with these guys."

Other players possibly headed to the FIBA World Championship were in action on Tuesday night.
