ATHENS (2010 FIBA World Championship) - When it comes to the big tournaments in international basketball, the Greeks are always dangerous.

Greece won gold at EuroBasket 2005, silver at the 2006 FIBA World Championship, reached the semi-finals at EuroBasket 2007, the last eight of the 2008 Olympics and captured European Championship bronze last summer.

One of the key men in their success has been Antonis Fotsis, and he will no doubt be ready to contribute at the FIBA World Championship in Turkey.

The 2.09m Panathinaikos power forward can mix it up with the big guys down low, but also kill teams with his long-range shooting.

Fotsis did the latter on Wednesday night for Pana, connecting on all four of his shots from behind the arc en route to a 13-point night as the Greens destroyed Olympiacos 73-54 in the opening game of the A1 Ethniki play-off finals.

The 29-year-old Fotsis, who played only 17 minutes, also had five rebounds.

Here's a look at how other national team stars possibly headed to Turkey performed.

    Team USA

    • Dwight Howard - The Orlando Magic center scored 21 points, hauled in 10 rebounds, swatted five shots and came up with two steals as the Orlando Magic won Game 5 of the NBA Eastern Conference finals over Boston, 113-92. Orlando trail in that series, 3-2.

    Serbia
