ISTANBUL (2010 FIBA World Championship) - The lucky basketball fans, who took part in and won the mascot naming poll, were presented with their prizes during the half-time interval of the Fenerbahçe Ülker - Efes Pilsen playoff game.

The mascot of 2010 FIBA World Championship – a loveable feline from the Van Cat breed – was named “Bascat” following a month-long online poll by Turkish fans. Participating fans all stood a chance to win a number of prizes that included Turkey team shirts and a dinner with the country’s National Team during their training camp.

The prizes were handed over to the winners in front of a full house during the climax of the Turkish League, in the third leg of the playoff final between the top two regular season finishers.
