    TUNIS (10th FIBA Africa Championship for Women) - Nigeria U18 Women national team Thursday rose to the challenges of the 10th FIBA Africa Championship taking place in Tunis, Tunisia with a 84-64 points spanking of Democratic Republic of Congo to finish second behind defending champion, Mali in group-B.

    The win by thge Coach andrew Isokpehi tutored nigerian young ladies proved a vital turn-around for the country after suffering two ealier defeat to Kenya and Mali.

    With the conclusion of preliminaries proceeding the stage is now set for the quarter-finals which dunk-off today with the eight countries that made it to the last-8 strategising to out wit one another.

    Host Tunisia top group-A alongside with 8-point having won all four matches played, the Tunisian are joined by Mopzambique, Cote d'Ivoire while Benin Republic srapped through with 5 points secured from one win and three loses.

    From group-B come defending champion, Mali, Nigeria, Guenea and Kenya.
