Triple-double alert: Serbia's Popovic shines with rare FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket feat

Serbia's Jovana Popovic signed off with a game to remember.

LA PALMA (Spain) - Jovana Popovic made history with one of the rarest stat lines ever seen at the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket.

Popovic finished with 22 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists in Serbia’s 75-51 win over Montenegro on the final day of action at the 2025 edition. Her all-around display earned an efficiency rating of 44, the highest recorded in the tournament this year.

This is only the second triple-double ever recorded during the main event of the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket and just the fifth overall, including performances from the now-discontinued Qualifying and Challenge Rounds.

Popovic is the first player to achieve the feat since Aleksandra Crvendakic — also from Serbia — did so in 2013.

It is also worth noting that official boxscore tracking for assists, steals, and blocks was only introduced in 1995, meaning verified triple-double records exist only from that point forward.
