TAIPEI CITY (26th FIBA Asia Championship) - The task for Chinese Taipei new head coach Chou Jun-San just became that much harder after the loss of Chen Tse-wei through injury.

The 2.00m forward, incidentally, is the third Dacin Tigers player to pull out of the Taipei NT, which is preparing for the East Asia Championship, the qualifying event for the 26th FIBA Asia Championship to be held in Wuhan.

Chen's club team-mates Tien Lei and Chang Chih-feng with Dacin - who finished runners-up to Taiwan Beer in the SBL - had earlier decided to sit out of the EABC.

Chou Jun-San was an assistant coach with Taiwan Beer when they beat Dacin in the SBL Finals.

Meanwhile, Yulon Dinos big man Tseng Wen-ting has indicated that he would join the Taipei NT only if the team makes it to Wuhan.

And to make matters worse for the coach, the trio of Wu Tai-hao, Chen Shih-nian and Ho Shou-cheng are all attending the camp carrying injuries.

Chinese Taipei will participate in the East Asian qualifying tournament in Nanjing next month in an attempt to make it to the 26th FIBA Asia Championship in Wuhan.

With China already qualifying for the 26th FIBA Asia Championship as hosts, three places are up for grabs from the Nanjing event.

Japan, by virtue of finishing runners-up at the 3rd FIBA Asia Stankovic Cup in Beirut last year, earned an additional berth for East Asia.
