The spotlight is on Asia’s top women as they take the court in Singapore

    SINGAPORE - The FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2026 will feature a mix of established stars, proven leaders and emerging talents ready to make their mark on the continental stage. With national pride on the line, expect high-intensity matchups and standout performances throughout the tournament.

    Here are the key players to watch in the women’s competition from April 1–5 at The Kallang.

    Wanglai Zhang (China)

    A strong interior presence, Wanglai Zhang controls the paint with her rebounding and finishing. A veteran of the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series, she has played a key role in China’s consistent performances on the international stage, including a top-10 finish at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2025.

    Her physicality and ability to anchor the defense make her central to China’s game plan.

    Khulan Onolbaatar (Mongolia)

    Few players embody the spirit of 3x3 basketball like Khulan Onolbaatar. The seventh-ranked player in Mongolia was instrumental in her team’s run to second place at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2025, including a statement win over the USA.

    A member of the Team of the Tournament and among the top performers in player value, Onolbaatar combines scoring, leadership and emotion. She finds ways to deliver in key moments when it matters most.

    Fuyuko Takahashi (Japan)

    One of the most consistent offensive players in the region, Fuyuko Takahashi led Japan to a runner-up finish at the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2025 and earned a place in the Team of the Tournament.

    She topped the competition in player value and led in two-point shots made, while finishing among the top scorers. Takahashi’s ability to carry the offensive load makes her a constant threat.

    Lara McSpadden (Australia)

    Part of the defending champions’ new core, Lara McSpadden brings size, composure and versatility to Australia’s lineup.

    With experience across the basketball spectrum, including strong showings on the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series and international competitions, she provides balance within one of the most dominant programs in Asia.

    Jermaine Lim Jia Ying (Singapore)

    A key figure for the host nation, Jermaine Lim will lead Singapore in front of the home crowd. Lim is also veteran of the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series, bringing experience and leadership as Singapore looks to compete on home soil.

    Supavadee Kunchuan (Thailand)

    Kacey Dela Rosa (Philippines)

    Bayan Salman (Bahrain)
