HONG KONG - After an amazing World Cup took centre stage, the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2025 resumes following a mid-season break at fan favorite Hong Kong on July 19-20.
Top seed Ub (SRB) will be aiming for a third straight WT title after their memorable triumphs in Marseille and Vienna, where the legendary Serbs wound back the clock.
But things have been a little more difficult since, with Ub's stars part of Serbia's unsuccessful title defense at the World Cup - although they still came away with bronze - and they were knocked out in the quarters of the recent Orleans Challenger.
Ub won't have superstar Strahinja Stojacic, but big fella Nenad Nerandzic is a former WT MVP and will return seamlessly into the line-up. They will present daunting challenges to Kandava Turiba (LAT) and hometown heroes Hong Kong in Pool A.
Toulouse (FRA) headlines Pool B and they ended a form slump after taking out the title in Orleans, where speedy Hugo Suhard claimed the MVP.
The Frenchmen will play Skyliners (GER) in an intriguing Pool B clash, with the Germans armed with their new weapon - Serb superstar Stefan Kojic who will keen for a vintage performance in new colors.
Seef (BRN) will be aiming to make it more than a two-horse race.
Amsterdam RABOBANK (NED) have a special place in their hearts for Hong Kong having clinched the World Tour Final there last year.
But those fond memories are fading with Amsterdam enduring a frustrating season filled with near misses having fallen short in the final three times and they also made the semis in Vienna.
The Dutchmen won't have the services of talismanic Worthy de Jong, but don't worry because bucket getter Bryan Alberts will be hyped up in the lead role.
The No.3 seed face a Pool C blockbuster against Partizan (SRB), who are aiming to shrug off indifferent form that has seen them bow out early on the WT so far this season.
The third team in the group will come from the QD A featuring Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL), Shanghai (CHN) and Milan (ITA).
No.4 seed Miami (USA) have been unable to recapture the brilliance from their triumph at the Utsunomiya Opener, but their hopes will be high if athletic marvel Henry Caruso turns into Captain America.
Miami face a tough initiation in Pool D against powerful Chongming (CHN) boasting Cameron Forte and Karlis Lasmanis. The third team will come out of QD B featuring Hangzhou (CHN), Doha (QAT) and Guangzhou STR Revo (CHN).
