Olympic stars, reigning MVPs and rising scorers headline the action in Bangkok

BANGKOK (Thailand) – When the FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup 2026 tips off, many of the world’s top national teams will take the halfcourt in Bangkok, but it may only take one superstar to swing the entire tournament.

From reigning MVPs to Olympic champions, several players arrive ready to shape the race for the title. Here are five stars who could steal the spotlight.

    Stefan Milivojevic (Serbia)

All eyes will once again be on Stefan Milivojevic, the reigning FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup MVP. The Serbian guard was instrumental in leading his team to the inaugural title in 2025. He delivered clutch baskets and consistently created offense when it mattered most.

Known for his confident perimeter shooting and ability to take over games late, Milivojevic has quickly established himself as one of the most dangerous scorers in international 3x3 basketball. With Serbia aiming to defend their crown, Milivojevic represents the next chapter of the country’s long-standing dominance in the discipline.

    Worthy de Jong (Netherlands)

Few players in the world bring the complete package quite like Worthy de Jong. The Dutch star, a Paris 2024 Olympic gold medalist and FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2024 MVP, remains one of the most recognizable faces in global 3x3 basketball.

De Jong combines explosive scoring ability with elite defensive instincts and a high basketball IQ. His versatility makes him the focal point of the Netherlands’ attack and a constant matchup problem for opponents.

    Guim Expósito (Spain)

Spain’s hopes will largely rest on the creativity and leadership of Guim Expósito, the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2025 MVP. A dynamic playmaker, Expósito thrives in the halfcourt game thanks to his quick decision-making, smooth ball handling and signature step-back jumper.

His journey to the top has also been remarkable, rising from humble beginnings, including long bus trips across Europe, to becoming one of the sport’s most decorated players. If Spain are to challenge the favorites in Bangkok, Expósito will likely be at the center of it.

    Dillon Stith (Australia)

Dillon Stith enters the tournament as one of the most explosive scorers in the field. The FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2025 MVP was instrumental in Australia’s run to the podium at the inaugural Champions Cup.

With his athleticism, quick first step and ability to create shots off the dribble, Stith can swing games in a matter of possessions. When Australia’s offense starts flowing, Stith is often the catalyst.

    James Parrott (USA)

For the United States, James Parrott brings both experience and highlight potential. A veteran of the USA 3x3 program, Parrott helped his team capture the FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup 2024 title and earned FIBA 3x3 World Tour Neom 2024 MVP honors.

Known for his athleticism and high-flying finishes, he is arguably the most explosive player on the American roster. After finishing outside the podium last year, the USA will look to Parrott to spark a stronger run in Bangkok.

With elite talent across the tournament, these five players could play decisive roles as teams chase the FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup 2026 title. In this game where momentum can shift in seconds, one hot shooting streak or clutch play can change the entire tournament.
