ABIDJAN (Cote d'Ivoire) - The venues, tip-off times and media access for the third window of the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup African qualifiers have been finalised.
FIBA has confirmed that the 16 African national teams competing for one of the five places available at the 2027 Qatar World Cup will complete the first round of Group A, B, C and D in Dakar (Senegal), Douala (Cameroon) and Luanda (Angola) from 2-5 July.
Group A
Group A, consisting of Cameroon, Cape Verde, Libya and South Sudan, will play in Douala, Cameroon.
Games will take place at the Complexe Multisports de Japoma in Douala.
Following the first two group games on Thursday 2 July — Libya vs. South Sudan at 15:00 local time (GMT+1), followed by Cameroon vs. Cape Verde at 18:00 — the four teams will enjoy a rest day on Friday 3 July.
Action in Group A will resume on 4 July, concluding on 5 July.
Group B
Group B, consisting of Côte d'Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Madagascar and hosts Senegal, will play at the Marius Ndiaye Gymnasium in Dakar, the capital city of Senegal.
The Group B fixtures will begin on Thursday 2 July, with Madagascar facing DR Congo at 15:00 local time (GMT 0), followed by Senegal against Côte d'Ivoire at 18:00.
After a rest day on Friday 3 July, the Group B teams will resume play on Saturday and Sunday.
Groups C & D
Groups C (comprising Guinea, Nigeria, Rwanda and Tunisia) and D (comprising Angola, Egypt, Mali and Uganda) will play their second-round games at the Pavilhão do Kilamba in Luanda from 2 to 5 July.
Group C
On Thursday 2 July, Guinea and Rwanda will play the first Group C match at 10:00 local time (GMT+1), followed by former African champions Tunisia and Nigeria at 13:00.
Group C action resumes on Friday 3 July, with Nigeria taking on Guinea at 16:00 local time (GMT+1), followed by Tunisia versus Rwanda at 19:00.
Teams in Group C will have a rest day on Saturday 4 July, before concluding their group campaign on Sunday 5 July.
Group D
Action in Group D will begin with Egypt facing Mali at 16:00 local time (GMT+1), before the hosts, Angola, take on Uganda at 19:00.
There will be no Group D games on Friday 3 July, with the four teams resuming their campaigns on Saturday 4 July and Sunday 5 July.

Media Accreditation
Media accreditation for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Qualifiers – Window 3 is now open.
Application deadline: Sunday, June 28, 23:59 (local host time)
All applications, from both local and international media, must be submitted via the FIBA Accreditation Portal before the deadline.
Late submissions will not be considered.
Applicants will be notified of their accreditation status by July 1.
