McClung will play in Europe for the first time

There's a new high-flyer set for FIBA Europe Cup action next season.

MUNICH (Germany) - FIATC Girona have made a splash ahead of their debut campaign in FIBA Europe Cup with the signing of American guard Mac McClung.

The 27-year-old won three consecutive Dunk Contests at the NBA All-Star weekends of 2023, 2024 and 2025, whilst also becoming a two-time MVP in the NBA G-League - with a career-high of 59 points.

McClung will now head overseas for the first time with Spanish side Girona, and provides an explosive option in the backcourt - adding to the recent signings of Stanley Whittaker and David N'Guessan.

McClung also made his senior debut for the United States national team during the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Americas Qualifiers.

Girona will be aiming to follow the success of Spanish rivals Bilbao Basket, who won the competition for the past two years.
