The theme of this year is Dream Team - inviting photographers from around the world to capture moments of unity between the players.

The high-fives after a good play, the pep talks in the huddle, the shared laughs on the bench, the hand that pulls you up when you’re down, and the unbreakable bonds that form on and off the court.

The FIBA Photo Contest 2025 celebrates what makes a team more than just a group of players: it celebrates the Dream Team.

From childhood crews at the local court, to tight-knit school teams, to weekend warriors who become family, the contest highlights the heart that beats behind the hustle.

It is a celebration of the spirit of teamwork, the strength of friendship, and the warmth of a family that plays together.

    Growing Stronger Each Year

Launched in 2017, the FIBA Photo Contest is a cultural program led by the FIBA Foundation under its Cultural Heritage umbrella.

It celebrates the intersection of basketball and culture, highlighting the sport’s global influence and its role in bringing communities together. It is a unique opportunity for all photographers, professionals, or amateurs to show their talents and love for the game. Over the last eight years, the contest has kept growing to become one of the biggest basketball-related photo contests in the world, with thousands of participants from all over the globe.

The top three winners will be awarded valuable photographic equipment, exposure through the FIBA channels and the opportunity to be the official photographer of the 2026 FIBA Open at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball, in Switzerland, for the grand winner. The winners will be handpicked by a panel of 9 renowned photographers and iconic basketball figures:
