ABIDJAN (Cote d'Ivoire) - Every four years, dozens of national teams from across the continent compete for one of twelve places at the FIBA AfroCan tournament. That time has come again.
Qualifiers for the 2027 edition of the quadrennial tournament are expected to run from September until the middle of next year, when the host country will be announced.
The qualifiers will see teams from all seven of FIBA Africa's sub-zones compete for a place in the finals.
The FIBA AfroCan is a twelve-nation event aimed at African-based players. It provides Africa-based players with international basketball experience and promotes the game across the continent.
The full schedule for the 2027 FIBA AfroCan tournament will be confirmed at a later date.
