"It is with great motivation that we start the training phase for the South American U15 Women’s Championship in Chile. The group is very promising, and we are sure that we will do a good job of preparation to reach our goals: the qualification to the FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship and the conquest of the South American title," said Vânia Paulette, coach of the Brazilian U15 team in the statement from the Brazilian Basketball Confederation (CBB).
"We know it will not be an easy tournament, but the group is focused on training and our objective, I think the commission will have a difficult task in electing the 12 athletes who will go to Chile, I wish all this group success and that we can give the best of us throughout the training phase and the competition," added Adriana Santos, technical director of the Brazilian Women’s National Teams.
The group will train in Sao Paulo until October 26 and will embark their trip to Chile on October 27.
