    Successful YDP Camp hosted in Nicaragua

    MIAMI (United States) – A total of 37 athletes, both boys and girls, participated in the FIBA ​​Youth Development Program (YDP) Camp which took place between January 19-21 in Managua, Nicaragua.

    MIAMI (United States) – A total of 37 athletes, both boys and girls, participated in the FIBA ​​Youth Development Program (YDP) Camp which took place between January 19-21, at the Alexis Argüello Sports Center in Managua, Nicaragua.

    The camp was led by Dave Severns, former director of Player Development Programs of the NBA's Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers. Alongside Mariano Marcos, coordinator of formative teams of the Argentine Basketball Confederation (CAB).

    The activities began with a coaches clinic dedicated to youth categories, which was attended by 60 coaches from all over Nicaragua. During the rest of the weekend, four training sessions were held in which the main topics were footwork, shooting, passing, and game concepts.

    The YDP is one of FIBA's flagship programs, whose main objective is to develop and elevate young talent from the Americas, both male and female, who currently or will represent their national teams in the near future.
