RIO DE JANEIRO (Brazil) - On Saturday, November 23, the Level 1 Coach Workshop of the World Asociation of Basketball Coaches (WABC) concluded in Rio de Janeiro. The workshop was held during a week at the Escola de Educação Física do Ex Ejera in Urca, Rio de Janeiro, and had Portuguese coach Rui Alves as the instructor.

The course began on November 18 and lasted until this Saturday, with the participation of 15 technicians from all Brazil. Among the participating coaches were Arnaldinho, a former player of the national team of Brazil, and Vitor Boccardo, son of the late Waldir Boccardo, 1959 World Champion and winner of the Bronze medal at the Olympic Games Rome 1960.
The course is taught by FIBA and was organized by the Brazilian Basketball Confederation with the immense support of the Basketball Federation of Rio de Janeiro and the School of Physical Education of the Army.
The Level 1 courses for FIBA and WABC Coaches will continue in Brazil and in the Americas during 2020.
