ANDORRA (Liga Endesa/EuroBasket 2015) - Vojdan Stojanovski has an important place in the history of F.Y.R. of Macedonia (MKD) basketball.

He not only played for the side that finished fourth at EuroBasket 2011 in Lithuania, but had 15 points on five-of-five shooting from the arc in their famous Quarter-Final upset of the tournament hosts in Kaunas.

Stojanovski, whose twin brother Damjan also plays for MKD, wore No. 8 for the national team and was on the court during the biggest play in that tournament, when Vlado Ilievski drilled a go-ahead three-ball for the visitors in the final minute to silence the crowd.

    ...

He ended up shooting 40 percent (14 of 35) from long range at that EuroBasket.

Vojdan Stojanovski is now making a name for himself in Spain's Liga Endesa with MoraBanc Andorra.

Since leaving Alba Berlin and joining the Spanish club at the end of January, the 27-year-old has averaged 17.0 points in five appearances.

His team has claimed two precious victories in that stretch, with Stojanovski doing so well in one of them, an 80-64 triumph over La Bruixa d'Or Manresa, that he shared the honor of Week 22 MVP with Rudy Fernandez.

    ...

When he announced the signing, Andorra sporting director Francesc Solana said: "He's a very physical player with a lot of athletic ability who does many things quite well and will help us in the perimeter game, which is what we need."

Stojanovic's three-point shooting has certainly been a weapon.

The 1.94m guard has drilled 43 percent (12 of 28) from behind the arc in the Liga Endesa.

The immediate aim for Stojanovski is to keep providing inspiration on both ends of the floor for an Andorra side that is battling against relegation.

Soon enough, he'll link up with his national team again for EuroBasket 2015 and try to help them create more lasting memories.

If they can put together another strong run, a second straight appearance at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament could be theirs.
