BELGRADE (Kosarkaska Liga Srbije) – Partizan Belgrade and Hemofarm Stada will meet in the Serbian League finals after completing clean sweeps of their best-of-three games semi-finals.
Partizan got the better of rivals Crvena Zvezda 85-74.
The game was close in the first half with hosts Zvezda trailing by three, 43-40.
Defending champions Partizan pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring their opponents 31-12 to take a commanding 74-52 lead by the end of the period.
Zvezda fought back in the final frame, but the deficit was just too big.
Lawrence Roberts led a balanced Partizan offense with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Bo McCalebb had 13 points and dished out four assists.
They will go for their ninth title in a row when the finals begin.
Nemanja Bjelica led all scorers with a game-high 26 points for Zvezda.
Meanwhile, Hemofarm Stada also completed their sweep on the road by seeing off Radnicki 91-75.
The visitors led 65-58 to start the final quarter and outscored the hosts 26-17 in the final frame for a convincing win.
Boban Marjanovic had 18 points and 10 rebounds to pace Hemofarm, who will now battle Partizan in a re-match of the 2007-08 finals.
