    SRB/KOR - Serbia overcome Korea in quarters

    BRATISLAVA (FIBA U19 World Championship for Women) - Serbia progressed to a final-four meeting with Sweden after holding off the challenge of Korea in the quarter-finals of the FIBA U19 World Championship for Women. Serbia triumphed 74-62 to complete the line up of the semis and challenge for a place in the final against either tournament favourites USA or Spain.

    BRATISLAVA (FIBA U19 World Championship for Women) - Serbia progressed to a final-four meeting with Sweden after holding off the challenge of Korea in the quarter-finals of the FIBA U19 World Championship for Women.

    Serbia triumphed 74-62 to complete the line up of the semis and challenge for a place in the final against either tournament favourites USA or Spain.

    Andja Ivkovic top-scored for the victors with 15 points, completing the scoring two seconds before the buzzer.

    Ivkovic added 13 rebounds and five assists, while Maja Miljkovic netted 14 points, with four rebounds and four assists.

    Ajeong Kang hit a game-high 20 points for Korea, who started well, opening up a three-point lead after the first quarter, 19-16.

    However, Serbia won the second period to hold a 34-32 advantage at half-time before establishing a four-point lead going into the final 10 minutes.

    A barnstorming final quarter then secured victory for Serbia. They outscored Korea 22-14 in the fourth period to clinch a convincing victory.
