BELGRADE (Humanitarian Game) - A glittering array of talent will be on show on Wednesday when Serbia celebrates 85 years of basketball in the country with a game between its domestic-based stars against a squad of foreign-based players.
The contest will also mark the KSS’s 60th anniversary.
The game between "Our ours" and "Our foreigners" will see Dusko Vujosevic (Partizan) and Stevan Karadzic (Hemofarm) as coaches of the "hosts" while Unics' Aco Petrovic and Panionios' Aleksandar Trifunovic will take care of the "visitors".
Vujosevic and Karadzic will be in charge of team which has Aleksandar Rasic (Partizan), Stefan Markovic (Hemofarm), Milenko Tepic (Partizan), Uros Tripkovic (Partizan), Bojan Krstovic (Hemofarm), Marko Keselj (Red Star), Novica Velickovic (Partizan), Nemanja Bjelica (Red Star), Dragan Labovic (FMP), Milan Macvan (Hemofarm), Boban Marjanovic (Hemofarm) and Miroslav Raduljica (FMP).
Petrovic and Trifunovic will coach Bojan Popovic (Bruesa), Nenad Krstic (Triumph), Ognjen Askrabic (Triumph), Vanja Plisnic (Ural), Dusan Kecman (Panathinaikos), Branko Cvetkovic (Panionios), Ivan Zoroski (Panionios), Miroslav Raicevic (Panionios), Milos Teodosic (Olympiakos), Zoran Erceg (Olympiakos), Stevan Nadjfeji (Panelinios) and Ivan Radenovic (Panelinios).
"It's a honor for me to be part of this celebration. Still, although we couldn't bring all the players we've wanted from abroad, I'm going to tell my team to be prepared for a real game. Victory and fun are what we are interested in, and that attitude is something that was and still is essential thing in Serbian basketball,“ Petrovic said.
