    On Thursday, May 22nd, tickets for the FIBA women´s Pre-Olympic tournament will go on sale at: www.entradas.com.

    At the event, which will be held from June 9-15th at the Telefónica Madrid Arena, twelve national teams will compete to obtain the five spots available to participate in the women´s basketball tournament at the Olympics in Beijing this summer.

    One ticket is valid for all the games during the specified time period.

    Tickets will be available for pick up at the ticket stands made available for the event located at the Telefónica Madrid Arena, after June 9th. The ticket receipt, card used to purchase the tickets, and a national identification card or passport must all be presented.

    Until Thursday, those interested in obtaining tournament tickets can send an email to entradaspreolimpico08@feb.es to request them.

    Seven national teams already have their passports to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing: China (the host team), Australia (the world champions), Mali (the African champions), USA (the champions of North and South America), Korea (the Asian champions), Russia (the European champions) and New Zealand (the Pacific champions).

    The other five teams will be determined at the FIBA Pre-Olympic Tournament where the following teams will play it out: Senegal and Angola (Africa), Cuba, Brazil and Argentina (North and South America), Japan and Taiwan (Asia), Spain, Belarus,
    Latvia and the Czech Republic (Europe), and Fiji (Pacific).
