    Spain - The FEB publishes second edition of World Championship book

    The Spanish Basketball Federation, led by Jose Luis Sáez, has edited a second edition of the book that relives the achievements of Spain’s national basketball team as they were named world champion in Japan in the summer of 2006. The new edition was edited by FEB Communications Director Miguel Gallardo.

    The Spanish Basketball Federation, led by Jose Luis Sáez, has edited a second edition of the book that relives the achievements of Spain’s national basketball team as they were named world champion in Japan in the summer of 2006. The new edition was edited by FEB Communications Director Miguel Gallardo.

    The first edition of the book "From Andalusia to the Gold in Japan & Eurobasket ’07" featured collaboration by Sergio Moreno and his organization the Ministry of Tourism, Commerce and Athletics of the Andalusian Council, and it was made possible by the efforts of The Andalusian Athletics Institute directed by Aurora Cosano.
    ?It is the first book that relives the whole the story of the Spain’s World Champion team, from the drawing of the World Championship tournament schedule in January 2006, to the preparation of EuroBasket in 2007. It was a golden year for Spanish basketball, and it’s all in a book that can be found at www.feb.es, with profits going to the Our Complete Basketball
    (NBI) program which brings the sport to neglected areas.?

    For the holidays a special offer is available for the purchase of this book which includes the comic "Big in Japan" about the World Championship Games, which was last year’s top book sale during the holidays. In addition, a free "ñ mania” flag and T-shirt is included. All of this is available for a total of 30 euros.

    The prelude of the book is by Sergio Moreno Monrové, who is the Councilor of the Ministry of Tourism, Commerce, and Athletics of Andalusia; Jose Luis Sáez, the FEB president; and Manuel Jiménez Barrios, General Secretary of Athletics for the Andalusian Council.

    Journalists such as Paco Torres, Juan Antonio Casanova, Alejandro Delmás, Edu Schell, Manu Moreno, Domingo Pérez, Jordi Román, Luis Fernando López, Robert Álvarez and Amador Gómez all contribute to this book which takes a trip back in time with the national team named World Champion for the first time in history. The book features 210 full color pages, and more than one thousand photos which are the work of Carlos Candel, Emilio Cobos, José Luis G. Surralles, Eduardo Díeguez, Eloy Alonso and Marina Bernal.
