CHARLOTTE (NBA) - Slovenia’s 2.13m center Primoz Brezec has suffered another injury setback in an increasingly disappointing season for the Charlotte Bobcats.

The 27-year-old has been diagnosed with a bulging disc in his lower back that will keep him out for 7-10 days.

It is not thought Brezec will require surgery.

He missed both wins over Atlanta on Friday and Saturday with back spasms.

Brezec missed the start of the season with Charlotte, suffering exhaustion after playing for his country at last year’s FIBA World Championship in Japan.

He is averaging only 6.3 points and 3.8 rebounds this season, down from career averages of 9.2 and 4.8, respectively.
