MIAMI (United States) – FIBA's Regional Office in the Americas, in collaboration with the Basketball Champions League Americas (BCL Americas) Board, has announced the 12 teams that will compete in Season 8. The region's premier club competition will tip off in December 2026. The participating teams are: Ferro (Argentina) Gimnasia (Argentina) Quimsa (Argentina) SESI Franca (Brazil) Minas (Brazil) Pinheiros (Brazil) Astros de Jalisco (Mexico) Real Esteli (Nicaragua) Aguada (Uruguay) Bigua (Uruguay) Penarol (Uruguay) Guaiqueries de Margarita (Venezuela) The 12 clubs will learn their paths in the competition during the official draw, which will take place on September 1st in Miami, starting at 3:00 p.m. local time. The event will be streamed live on the BCL Americas YouTube channel. The champion will earn the right to represent the Americas at the FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2027. The reigning champion is Boca Juniors (Argentina), which won the title in the 2025-26 edition.
