MOSCOW (Superleague) – CSKA Moscow have appointed Dusko Vujosevic as their new coach.

Vujosevic, who is also the coach of Montenegro's national team, has left Partizan Belgrade for the Russian giants.

One of the top coaches in Europe, Vujosevic this year led Partizan into the Euroleague Final Four and steered them to Adriatic League, Serbia Cup and Serbian league glory.

"We talked a lot to Dusko these past days and made sure that he fully corresponds with our point of view and besides, consider it a great chance to work for CSKA," said Andrey Vatutin, the CSKA Moscow president.

"Vujosevic is a system-building coach, and he is known not only for his skills of building the team’s game, but he is a master of training the young players."

"I have won many trophies in my career, but I still lack the Euroleague trophy," Vujosevic said.

"I have been dreaming about winning it and I hope that my dream will come true during my contract with CSKA. I sincerely hope that CSKA and Russia will show me the same kind of love that I feel coming into my new club and your country."

Evgeny Pashutin had a successful year as the coach of CSKA but has made way for Vujosevic.

Pashutin, a former Russia national team point guard and assistant to ex-CSKA Moscow coach Ettore Messina, was quickly snapped up by UNICS Kazan and will lead them next season.

Vujosevic will soon lead Montenegro against Finland, Italy, Latvia and Israel this summer in EuroBasket 2011 qualifying.
