MOSCOW (SUPERLEAGUE A) - CSKA Moscow hammered cross-town rivals Dynamo Moscow 77-53 to improve to 12-1 and stay in control at the top of the Superleague A standings.
JR Holden had 14 points and Sasha Kaun chipped in with 13 as CSKA raced out to a 48-29 lead by the break, making the second half a mere formality.
Sergey Monya, playing against his former team, paced Dynamo with a game-high 17 points.
CSKA's closest challengers, BC Khimki, had to crawl their way back from a 15-point hole to edge out BC Triumph 66-64 on the road.
The hosts were up 32-17 in the late stages of the second quarter before some much-improved defense by the visitors saw them get within 52-50 by the end of the third period.
Triumph stayed in front and had a 64-60 edge with under three minutes left to play, but they would not score again and Keith Langford went on a personal 6-0 run, clinching the game with a pair of free-throws in the closing seconds.
Langford finished with 21 and Kelly McCarty added 14 for Khimki.
Meanwhile, UNICS also scored an important win away from home, seeing off Enisey 82-73 in Krasnoyarsk.
Some balanced scoring did the team from Kazan as Maciej Lampe had 24 points, Kresimir Loncar went for 16, Marko Popovic added 15 and Vladimir Vereemenko chipped in with 10.
