MOSCOW (Euroleague/PBL) - CSKA Moscow center Sasa Kaun will have a knee operation on Thursday in the United States and isn't expected to play again until February.

Kaun was bothered by jumper's knee at the FIBA World Championship while playing for Russia and helping them reach the Quarter-Finals.

CSKA announced in a statement on their website: "Our team's center Alexander Kaun will undergo surgery on his chronically injured patellar tendon (in) the left knee at the Cleveland Clinic on Thursday morning.

"It is estimated that player's rehabilitation will take around three months."

The loss of Kaun has added to a frustrating start to the season for CSKA, who are off to an 0-2 start in the Euroleague.
