KRASMOYARSK (PBL) - Things are going from bad to worse for CSKA Moscow, who crashed to an 83-65 defeat at Enisey Krasnoyarsk at the weekend.

The dominant side in Russian hoops for several years and one of the best in the Euroleague as well, CSKA fell for the second time on the domestic scene in a row.

The coach of Enisey, Stevan Karadzic, said: "I’m very pleased with how we played.

“Many thanks to the fans who supported us throughout the 40 minutes. Without such support, there would be no such victory.

“If we continue to play with such energy, the results are going to be even better, although I don’t know if they can be better than this.”

It was not the result coach Dmitry Shakulin was looking for after CSKA’s battling show against Panathinaikos last week in the Euroleague.

They will host Power Electronics Valencia on Wednesday.

"We are living through tough times," said Shakulin, who recently took the helm following the departure of Dusko Vujosevic.

"All these days after the change of coach, we were working to put those accents to the game which will help us win.

"The opponent played successfully in terms of aggressiveness and individual game.”

CSKA have been riddled with injuries this season with Viktor Khryapa, who recently returned to action, among those unable to play against Enisey.

"Our game was influenced again by the lack of several injured starters," the coach said.

Serbian forward Dragan Labovic had 20 points, Pavel Sergeev 19 and Lonny Baxter 17 for the Krasnoyarsk club, a side that's not competing in a European competition this season.

BC Khimki followed up their big win in the Euroleague over Partizan Belgrade with a 75-67 triumph over Eurocup side Krasnye Krylya.

Sergio Scariolo’s side now lead Russia’s PBL with a 4-1 record.

UNICS, led by CSKA's former coach Evgeny Pashutin, followed up their win over CSKA with an 80-66 demolition of Dynamo Moscow and Lokomotiv Kuban, the side led by Lithuania national team boss Kestutis Kemzura, clinched a 78-64 victory at Triumph.

Spartak St Petersburg won 80-73 over BC NN - the club they beat last week in the EuroChallenge.
