    RSA - Mourning Day following death of Jokanovic

    JOHANNESBURG (Premier Basketball League) - Serbian outfit BC Red Star have called a mourning day following the tragic death of former player Nikola Jokanovic in South Africa. Jokanovic, player-coach of Tshwane Suns in South Africa's Premier Basketball Leage, died shortly after leaving the court in a match against Olympians in Johannesburg.

    JOHANNESBURG (Premier Basketball League) - Serbian outfit BC Red Star have called a mourning day following the tragic death of former player Nikola Jokanovic in South Africa.

    Jokanovic, a 45-year-old player-coach of Tshwane Suns in South Africa's Premier Basketball Leage, died shortly after leaving the court in a match against Olympians in Johannesburg.

    Dion Karagiannis, of Tshwane Suns, said: "He was passionate about basketball and lived for the game. We want to express our heartfelt condolences to everyone who were associated with Nikola."

    Jokanovic, whose former clubs also include IMT and Radnicki, played for Red Star for five years between 1980-85 and represented the junior national team.

    Red Star have announced that they will dedicate a day of mourning to Jokanovic's memory on December 4.
