DEBRECEN (Hungary) - Before a one-month break of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2025, 16 teams will be raring to go at fan favorite Debrecen on August 29-31.
The annual stop in the beautiful Hungarian city looms as a perfect opportunity for top seed Amsterdam Rabobank (NED) to win their first WT title of the season. It's been a tough season for the Dutch Masters, but they will be rejuvenated after breaking their title drought at the Taipei Challenger.
Superstar Worthy de Jong will be ready to be unleashed with Amsterdam to face a Pool A blockbuster against a Lausanne (SUI) side led by World Cup champ Carlos Martinez. Seef (BRN) are the other team in the group.
No.2 seed Liman will be gunning for their second WT season title to sit alongside their drought-breaking triumph in Ulaanbaatar. The legendary Serbs face an emotionally charged Pool B clash against their former superstar Stefan Kojic, who now lines up for Skyliners (GER).
Hometown heroes Debrecen (HUN) will be relying on the passionate home fans to lift them to great heights.
Big fella Aurelijus Pukelis has been simply unstoppable recently and will be eying a second WT season MVP after his effort in Chengdu. If he gets rolling then No.3 seed Raudondvaris Hoptrans (LTU) might well win another title, but first they'll do battle against desperate Partizan (SRB), who haven't yet clicked in 2025. The third team in Pool C will emerge from QD A, with emerging Valencia (ESP) favored to get through.
Fourth seed Vienna (AUT) have not been seen on the WT since June and they will be keen to make up for lost time. There will be no time for them to play into form with the Austrians facing an early litmus test against a dangerous London (USA) featuring high-flyer Justin Pierce.
The third team in Pool D will come through the QD B, with Marbella (ESP) highly confident of finding their way into the main draw.
