    TRENTINO (Italy) - The Group Phase of FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2026 is complete and four teams go into the rest day with perfect records.

    Those teams include reigning champs Spain, who survived a real battle against Latvia, as the tournament will now head into the Round of 16 stage.

    Top Performers

    Bulgaria dropped to 0-3 in Group C in an 88-66 loss to Slovenia but Kristiyan Zanov had a monster game with 18 points, 17 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block in the loss.

    Austria also dropped their third straight game in narrowly losing 84-80 to Israel in Group A. Armin Kapic did all he could as he collected 16 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in the defeat.

    Germany finished up their group stage strong with an 86-69 win over Lithuania for a perfect 3-0 record in Group C. Lucai Anderson came up big throughout the game and totaled 24 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal.

    Israel took top honors in Group A with a 3-0 mark as they fought off a spirited effort by Austria in winning 84-80. A big part of the perfect record has been David Musis, who topped 20 points for a third time with 21 points to go with 9 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks.

    Latvia did not make things easy for the reigning champs, leading the game deep into the fourth quarter. But they could not finish the job in a 92-87 loss. Ralfs Aleksandrovs did all he could with 19 points for Latvia also contributing 4 rebounds and 8 assists - albeit in a losing effort.
