MUNICH (Germany) - The FIBA Europe Cup Qualifiers wrapped up on Wednesday with four teams securing their places.
Prievidza progress in style
BC Prievidza secured their spot in the Regular Season with a 98-65 win over KK Samobor, en route to a convincing 201-148 victory over the two legs.
Despite the aggregate margin, Samobor were competitive until the midway point of the third period, when they ran out of gas, and Prievidza pulled away for good, both on the night and over the two ties.
Frankie Policelli hit six triples to finish with a game-high 23 points for the Slovakian side. Brandon Garrett led Samobor with 18 points.
Neftchi edge thrilling tie, but Parnu win still enough
BC Parnu came up just short of an aggregate victory despite beating Neftchi SC 73-61 - though the result took both teams through.
Javeon Jones drilled a three-pointer with nine seconds left to cut the deficit to one point on aggregate, but that was as good as it got, with the Azerbaijani side heading through 141-140 overall.
Mihkel Kirves led Parnu with 16 points and 10 rebounds - with their place later confirmed - while Elijah Hawkins countered with 18 points and 8 assists for Neftchi.
Dinamo Bucharest safely through
Dinamo Bucharest continued where they left off in the first leg by beating KB Peja 105-83 on the night and 201-141 on aggregate to advance to the Regular Season.
Already leading 96-58 from the first leg, the Romanian side quickly established a 21-8 lead in the first quarter, and Peja's mountain became even more unreachable.
Anthony Roberts led seven players in double figures for the hosts with 13 points, as they shot a stunning 63 percent from the field.
