DOHA (Heir Apparent Cup) - Last year’s finalists Al Gharafa went one step further this time around, routing QBF League runners-up Al Sadd 67-54 in the 2011 Heir Apparent Cup Final.

Americans Boney Watson and Alexander McLean, brought in for Gharafa's run in the Heir Apparent Cup, justified the faith put in them by head coach Koussay Hatem.

Watson had 18 points, eight assists, three rebounds and two steals, while McLean added 17 points and collecting 13 boards.

Omar Abd had 14 points and 8 rebounds.

Gharafa led throughout and never really were under pressure after edging ahead 12-8 midway through the first quarter.

Michael Bell ploughed a lonely furrow for Sadd with 18 points and 13 rebounds. The other import Clint Deas was held to just 10 points but did grab a game-high 14 rebounds.

They were Sadd's only two to score in double digits, and it proved insufficient against the confident and clinical Gharafa.

FIBA Asia president and president of the QBF, Sheikh Saud Ali Al-Thani, along with QBF Secretary General Mohammed Hussain Ibrahim Al-Khuzaei gave away the prizes.
