    TIANJIN (FIBA Asia Championship) - Qatar emerged a 95-70 victors over India to record their second win from as many games in Group C preliminary round on Friday.

    India did well to keep pace with their more fancied rivals till midway through the first quarter, but could not sustain themselves when the GCC champions pressed the gas.

    Daoud Mousa had a 50% shooting record, including three three-pointers and was the highest scorer in the game with 20 points, to lead the Qatari charge.

    Saad Ali contributed 18 points and and pulled down five rebounds.

    Ali Ali led the rebounds for the game with nine collections, to go with his 12 points.

    Talwinderjit Singh led India’s scoring with 17 points.

    Vishesh Bhriguvanshi had an impressive 54.5% (6/11) record in the field, including 4/7 in three-pointers and returned 16 points.

    India, now face the uphill task of having to beat Kazakhstan in order to qualify for the eight-final round.
