SAN JUAN (Baloncesto Superior Nacional) - Australia international Shawn Redhage has penned a deal with Piratas de Quebradillas in Puerto Rico's top flight.

The American-born Redhage, who competes in Australia's NBL and turned out with the Boomers at the Beijing Games, also played in Puerto Rico last season.

Another big name heading back to Puerto Rico for a second campaign is American Tanoka Beard, a journeyman in Europe who has joined Leones de Ponce.

Beard, 37, has played in Italy, Turkey, Spain, France, Russia, Lithuania and Israel.

His biggest moments in Europe came in Spain.

Beard was the ACB's MVP while at Real Madrid in 1999, and at DKV Joventut in Badalona three years later.
