HUMACAO (Super Liga 25) - Supercariduros have ended the regular season in the Puerto Rican Super Liga 25 with two victories.

Just one defeat in 14 games so far this season leaves the Fajardo-based team with one of the best records in the league's history, and puts them on top of the Marcelo Trujillo Conference ahead of the play-offs.

This week saw only four games played, with Supercariduros winning two of them.

Alejandro 'Bimbo' Carmona was in brilliant form on Tuesday, netting 35 points as his team edged Caciques 100-97 at home.

Angel 'Buster' Figueroa was also in fine form contributing 28 points, with a further 12 coming from Elisamuel Morales.

Supercariduros continued on the winning trail on Thursday night, when Figueroa's 31 points and a 30-point haul from Rafael Perez helped them to a 107-100 win over Grises in Humacao.

They lead the Marcelo Trujillo conference 13-1, ahead of Brujos, who have a 6-8 record.

A win over Reales would have given Brojos a ticket into the semi-finals, but Gabriel Colon had the final say, netting 27 points to condemn them to a 96-82 loss,
which means they will have to wait until next week to learn their fate.

The decisive duel will be on Thursday, when Grises meet Industriales.

Both teams are levelled on a 5-8 record in the league and a victory would put either one of them onto the same 6-8 record as Brujos.

Tournament officials are yet to decide how the qualifying system will work, so all three still have a fair chance of making the semi-final.

In the Armandito Torres conference, Reales and Caciques contest the semi-final, after recording 10-4 and 7-7 campaigns respectively.

Reales' fourth defeat was on Tuesday, when they went down 82-75 to Industriales in Barceloneta, with Christopher Vega netting 16 points.

Corazones (5-9) and Indios (4-10) are both out of the competition.
