ATHENS (FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament) - The huge Puerto Rican community in America has been able to watch Carlos Arroyo and the national team battle for one of the three remaining spots at the Beijing Games this weekend in Athens.

The prestigious FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which also has superstars like Dirk Nowitzki of Germany fighting for a place in China, has been shown on television and the internet all over the world.

Puerto Rico's semi-final against hosts Greece can be viewed via live streaming on ESPN 360 in both the United States and Mexico.

CaribeVision/Channel 24 will show the game in Puerto Rico.

Should Manolo Cintron's team not win, they would play the loser of Germany's game against Croatia in the final qualifying game.

The Puerto Ricans, who famously upset the United States at the Athens Games four years ago, were up to their old tricks again on Friday when they stunned in-form Slovenia 81-70.

Arroyo, Larry Ayuso, Jose Barea, Ricky Sanchez and Carmelo Lee all played well, but the key performances were delivered by giant center John Peter Ramos and emerging star Javier Mojica.

Ramos scored all eight of his points in the second half while Mojica poured in nine and also grabbed seven rebounds in 15 very important minutes off the bench.

Meanwhile, the NBA duo of Nowitzki and Chris Kaman, and unsung hero Pascal Roller, were too much for Brazil in a 78-65 quarter-final triumph.

The semi-finals and final qualifying games, just as the quarter-finals were on Friday, are being shown in the United States and Mexico on the ESPN 360 website.
