    PUR - Brujos retain top spot in Puerto Rico

Brujos were beaten 91-83 in their visit to Gigantes from Carolina on Monday night, but it was came at the end of a three-game winning streak.

    Brujos were beaten 91-83 in their visit to Gigantes from Carolina on Monday night, but it was came at the end of a three-game winning streak.

    Last Tuesday, Carlos Mercado's side hit Criollos 93-86, led by the 28 top-scoring points from Erick Rodriguez.

    Rodriguez was also the man of the match on Thursday, as his 19 points helped Brujos triumph 81-63 over Atleticos from San German.

    On Saturday, Brujos saw off Arecibo-based Capitanes 109-104 as visitors, with Rafael Alberto Perez pouring in 29 points.

    With a 16-7 campaign, Brujos lead both the Juan Vicens Division and the overall standings.

    Fajardo-based Cariduros are the Federico Lopez Division leaders with a 14-10 campaign.

    Cariduros lost 101-89 in their visit to Atleticos on Friday, but two home games helped them get over the defeat.

    On Saturday, Carlos Calcano's men edged Maratonistas from Coamo 63-62, as Uka Agbai netted 21 points, while on Monday night they overcame Humacao-based Grises 75-67, with Ismael Blanco registering 24 points and six assists.

    Leones, meanwhile, lost 90-81 to Capitanes on Sunday after destroying Conquistadores 120-98 the day before.

    Leones currently lie second in the Juan Vicens Division with a 14-10 campaign, which places them in third position in the overall standings.
