Puerto Rico, Brazil qualify for FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2027

    Both teams won their Quarter-Final matchups at the FIBA U18 AmeriCup 2026 and joined the USA and Canada as the four Americas representatives at next year's FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup.

    LEON (Mexico) – Puerto Rico and Brazil secured the final two Americas berths to the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2027 after winning their Quarter-Final matchups and advancing to the Semi-Finals of the FIBA U18 AmeriCup 2026. With Friday's victories, Puerto Rico and Brazil joined the United States and Canada as the four teams representing the Americas at the U19 World Cup. The four national teams will now compete in the Semi-Finals of the U18 AmeriCup on Saturday, with a place in Sunday's championship game on the line.
