Games to watch
As the curtain is raised on this second window there are an array of matchups to relish on Gameday 4 and we've picked out four of the best to put on your must-watch list.
Must-see TV 📺
Latvia vs Slovenia | March 11, 18:00 CET
This one is so critical in a group where Netherlands are also very strongly in contention with the same 2-1 record and so three is a crowd in terms of advancing. Slovenia won the first meeting 77-66 after a late surge and brilliant games from backcourt duo Teja Oblak and Zala Friskovec. Latvia don't have veteran Anete Steinberga, but they do still have plenty of experience and game in their ranks, including Kitija Laksa, Digna Strautmane and Kate Vilka.
Clash of rivals ⚔️
Croatia vs Greece | March 11, 19:00 CET
Looking like outright rivals for top spot in the group and both 2-1, they produced a true blockbuster in November as Croatia took an exciting 76-73 road win. Injured in that game, Croatia not only have Nika Muhl back, but another star in Ivana Dojkic who will suit up, while rising star and UConn bound Olivia Vukuosa is to debut. Greece will be hoping their frontcourt establishes itself in a big way via the experienced Artemis Spanou and Mariella Fasoula.
Do-or-die 💀
Denmark vs North Macedonia | March 11, 18:30 CET
Both teams are underdogs and 1-2, so this makes it a do-or-die as whoever loses is likely flushed at 1-3, but the victorious team will be 2-2 and still dreaming big. Denmark are favorites with Julianna Okosun, Alberte Rimdal and Sarah Mortensen showing serious game in the last window. But in Merrit Hempe, Andjelika Mitrashinovikj and Ilina Selcova, North Macedonia have their own headline ballers that can catapult them forwards and get the win.
Wildcard battle 🃏
Luxembourg vs Ireland | March 11, 19:00 CET
After a comprehensive 69-53 success in Dublin, 2-1 Luxembourg will be favorites for a win double if they keep smashing the glass so well as a team and rising star Dionne Madjo continues to shine. Yet 1-2 Ireland might just be that wildcard team with a real shot. They had that amazing upset win at home to Bosnia and Herzegovina and then were only just squeezed out against Israel. Perhaps Claire Melia, Hazel Finn and Sarah Hickey will catch fire again.
