    PUERTO MONTT (2011 FIBA U19 World Championship Women) – The draw for the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championship for Women will take place at the University of San Sebastian Auditorium, Puerto Montt, Chile on Friday 18 March, starting at 17:00 local time (21:00 CET). The ninth FIBA U19 World Championship for Women will be played in the cities of Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas from 21 to 31 of July and see teams from 16 countries compete, featuring the world’s best young players born in 1992 and after.

    PUERTO MONTT (2011 FIBA U19 World Championship Women) – The draw for the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championship for Women will take place at the University of San Sebastian Auditorium, Puerto Montt, Chile on Friday 18 March, starting at 17:00 local time (21:00 CET).

    The ninth FIBA U19 World Championship for Women will be played in the cities of Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas from 21 to 31 of July and see teams from 16 countries compete, featuring the world’s best young players born in 1992 and after.

    Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Chinese Taipei, Egypt, France, Italy, Japan, Nigeria, Russia, Slovenia, Spain and the USA all go into the hat for the draw.

    In the Preliminary Round (21-23 July), the 16 participating countries will be drawn into four groups of four.

    The three top-placed teams from each group will advance to the Eighth Final Round (25-27 July) which consists of two pools of six. During that stage of the competition, each team faces the three new opponents in their group.

    The top eight teams from the Eighth Final Round will then move on to the Quarter Finals scheduled for Friday 29 July. The Semi Finals will be played the following day and the Finals on Sunday 31 July.
