GENEVA/BEIJING (FIBA LiveStats) - FIBA would like to announce the launch of FIBA LiveStats, a new free-to-download software that enables every basketball association, club or fan the possibility to publish online live results and game statistics on any website in the world.
FIBA Secretary General and IOC member Patrick Baumann stated: "It is my pleasure to announce the release of FIBA LiveStats. This exciting new basketball software will enable anyone to capture game data and statistics in a professional way and provide printouts to teams, media representatives and organisers. The webcast functionality will allow fans the opportunity to follow basketball games online through their favourite club's or organisation's websites."
SportingPulse CEO Nick Maywald said: "FIBA and SportingPulse are committed to bringing professional sports coverage to grassroots sports and improving the online experience for basketball players and supporters. FIBA LiveStats has already been a big hit with basketball fans. The technology allows coverage of games on all levels -from junior games to elite championships."
FIBA LiveStats is just one of a range of integrated sports software products available free of charge to all FIBA-affiliated organisations. The sports management software FIBA Organizer was launched in November 2006 to provide SportingPulse's award-winning software, free of charge, to every organisation within FIBA's 213 member national federations.
FIBA Organizer is capable of connecting every basketball player in the world and the launch of the French and Spanish versions has massively increased its global reach.

About FIBA Organizer
The FIBA Organizer software package incorporates all facets of basketball administration, such as competition management (schedules, results and standings), membership database (clubs, players, coaches and referees) and websites. In addition to improving communications between federations, associations and clubs and players, FIBA Organizer can save administrators valuable time through improved efficiencies and can help raise extra revenue by creating unique sponsorship opportunities. This global agreement is the first time an international sports' governing body has commissioned the development of a communication hub capable of unifying its community. FIBA and SportingPulse signed an agreement to provide FIBA Organizer software to all basketball organisations at no cost.
