    Elite national teams collide in Bangkok as global 3x3 basketball stakes rise once again

    BANGKOK (Thailand) – Following a successful debut in 2025, the FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup returns for its second edition on March 13 to 15, 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.

    The FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup brings together the world’s top 3x3 basketball national teams for a high-level international showdown celebrating performance, competitiveness and the continued global expansion of the discipline.

    The annual event features elite nations, including Zone Cup winners, World Cup winners, Olympic gold medalists, the highest-ranked teams in the FIBA 3x3 rankings and the host nation, ensuring top-tier competition in both the men’s and women’s tournaments.

    MEN

    Serbia enter as defending champions after capturing the inaugural title in 2025. Netherlands and Australia, who finished second and third respectively, also return.

    They are joined by United States, Lithuania, Spain, Madagascar and hosts Thailand, completing a deep and internationally diverse field.

    WOMEN

    Canada headline the women’s competition as defending champions. Spain and Australia return following their podium finishes in 2025.

    They will compete alongside Netherlands, United States, Azerbaijan, Madagascar and hosts Thailand in another highly competitive lineup.

    With qualification stakes elevated, the winners of the FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup 2026 will secure direct qualification to the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2027, the FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup 2027 and the Cups-based Olympic Qualification Tournament in 2028.

    The inaugural edition marked an important milestone for international 3x3 basketball, showcasing elite competition and reinforcing the event’s position on the global calendar.

    The 2026 tournament aims to build on that platform by further elevating competitive standards while continuing to highlight the speed, intensity and urban identity of 3x3 basketball.

    Games will be staged at CentralWorld Square, one of Bangkok’s most prominent city-center venues.

    Event entrance is free of charge.
