VALMIERA (FIBA U19 World Championship) - Polish center and Nike Hoop Summit attendee Przemyslaw Karnowski was prominent in his side's 85-57 win over Tunisia on Thursday. Scoring 11 points and grabbing seven rebounds in just over 20 minutes of court time, the 2.11 big man was happy with his side's performance following the game.

FIBA: How do you think your guys went out there today?

Karnowski: We are very happy. It was our first game in this tournament and we wanted to win it and we did.

FIBA: Did you know much about Tunisia coming into the game?

Karnowski: No we didn't know anything about this team. They are an exotic team. We have never played them before. It was a hard game as we did not know how they play.

FIBA: We did not see much of you in the second half. Was it just to give everyone on the team some court time?

Karnowski: Yeh everything is OK. Our bench played good and we can rest for other games.

FIBA: Looking ahead to tomorrow - is there anything you need to work on personally or as a team as a whole?

We need to lift our defense. Tomorrow we play Brazil and they are a good team and we want to fight.
