SEATTLE (WNBA) - Former Poland center Margo Dydek is in the thoughts of many of her former team-mates and players around the world as she lies in a hospital bed in Brisbane in a medically-induced coma.

The 2.18m Dydek, the WNBA's all-time leading shot-blocker, suffered a heart attack at home last week.

She is pregnant with her third child.

Among those who have spoken about Dydek are Lauren Jackson, one of Australia's leading players.

They both competed at the Sydney Olympics 11 years ago.

"I grew up playing against her and it's a horrible thing," Jackson said to The Seattle Times.

"My heart goes out to them (the family).

"She loved coaching. I saw her coaching (in Australia) one of the All-Star teams and she was good.

"From all accounts, she loved Australia and loved the city, living out there with her family."

Dydek has a British husband and they moved to Brisbane in 2009.

USA international Swin Cash also spoke to The Seattle Times about Dydek.

"This is really heartbreaking," Cash said.

"Staying in prayer for her is so important. Margo is an amazing, lovely girl. Always has been.

"She's one of those giants but a huge heart. So, it's a tough situation and I'm going to keep her family in prayer."
